Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Internal Report
WestEd collected data to help support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives to help inform their progress and where they needed to focus more resources. Additionally, this data could be a tool to promote transparency of the DEI team initiatives and communicate progress to the rest of the company.
I worked closely with the key DEI stakeholders and content writers to narrow down the data and identify critical areas of interest to tell a story and present the numbers to various audiences.
Workforce Portrait by the Numbers
I designed and developed a system focused on digestible, audience-focused data visualizations that lent themselves to visibility and dissemination internally on a wide scale.
While the initial deliverable was a pdf doc for a company meeting, I wanted to ensure the DEI team could easily use the visuals in future presentations, landing pages, and even print communications throughout the office.
Careful consideration was used to ensure the visuals follow federal section 508 compliance guidelines (under the Americans with Disabilities Act) was a critical component of this project.
